Please understand that I don't deny that there may be problems with the
documentation. 
It is impossible to improve it without knowing what causes the problem.

And a personal note as well: I don't think that anyone confident with
linux/unix will have problems with these instructions.
The only thing is that you must be willing to read the /whole/ thing.

But again: Don't get this wrong. This should not mean that there are no
problems with the documentation.
