It looks like one is a Staging Area. It says in a note,
that the links may be broken, etc.

I created that directory, and I wrote that note.

The other is the cleaned up information.

Keep these kind of questions coming.

Ok, why don't we as a team, address the issues in the
"staging area", add the new questions to that, and make that
the faq directory that helps folks contribute? Why does the
site_maintainers directory continue to be unaddressed as
viable information for OOo contributors? As has been pointed
out by the bumps we ran into past with staging areas:

http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=37629

http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=39287

using staging areas to provide new information is not a
grand idea. It causes broken links or huge amounts of
rework. Because the faqs are many small files, I feel this
learned fact applies strongly to faq directories.

Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,
Diane Mackay
