Hi Roderick, Thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to my first
foray into the open source community. It's about time!

Hello all,

I've only just downloaded OO (I used it a few years ago for a short while).
I'm not a power user by any means, but I'm a big believer in open
source, and would like to contribute if I can. It's not like I have a
ton of free time or anything, but I wouldn't mind getting some warm
fuzzy feelings for having given back.

I'm a software developer, with (some say) the ability to express
myself reasonably well in writing. The Documentation Project seems
like the best place to offer my assistance.

I use OO for editing and exporting to pdf my resume primarily, and
little else. I wouldn't mind getting a few spreadsheets going with
the aim of designing and actually sticking to a budget (for the first
time in my life!). So, you see, I'm not at all a sophisticated user,
but I also welcome the opportunity to learn more about the application
wherever there may be a need for documentation.

I received my computer science training slightly later in life than
most do. My pre comp. sci. background is in training, education and
curriculum development. Now, I'm a web service developer for a
startup (php, mysql, js -- you know the story...). It pays the bills
just fine. I have entrenpreneurial goals of my own, usually revolving
around language and education software dev (particulalry, NLP
solutions). I live on the beautiful west coast of BC (Canada).

Cheers!
