My name is Jamie, and I'm currently a Systems Administrator at an arts
organization in Seattle. I've been in the IT field in a Windows/Mac
desktop support capacity for about 5 years. I've been thinking more and
more about making a change to technical writing as a career (I actually
have an English Lit. degree, obtained somewhere in the misty distant
past).
I really like and support the idea of Open Office, though I don't have
much user experience with it. I'm planning to start using OO at home, and
then maybe when I'm comfortable using it, I can contribute to writing some
help documentation. If anyone might have a suggestion for a good first
project, that'd be great.
