One of the nice things about the wiki pages is that they have, is that each
article page comes with a discussion page, where one can ask questions with
regard to the article in question.
In this case however, I'm not sure if we want to be referring to specific
pages of the user guide or not, as the user might happen to have the user
guide on hand at the time.

Hi,
I'm new to this and so thought I shouldn't just jump in and start
editing things without checking with the old hands first.
So:
Re this Wiki entry:

Perhaps it would be more helpful if it described how to disable the Direct
Cursor function (ie. return OOo to its default behaviour) and then
referred the user to p61 of the user guide to learn more about the Direct
Cursor function and when you might want to use it.
Re User Guide p61:
Makes reference to the Direct Cursor on/off button in the toolbar. This
button is not present in the toolbar by default. Perhaps the guide should
instead refer to Tools / Options / OpenOffice.org Writer / Formatting
Aids.
Re Automatic Functions section of the Wiki in general:
The terms used to describe the automatic formatting functions is
"automatisms". To me this seems rather confusing and inelegant. Perhaps
it would be better to called them AutoText functions or AutoFormat
functions or some such?
Am I being too timid in wanting to check these minor edits with others
first? Not sure what the etiquette is...
Best,
DH
