Putting them on the OOoAuthors website is another possibility.

Whatever you guys choose, I think it should be somewhere that other people (such as me) can get to the figures too. Docs&Files & OOoAuthors both fulfill that request; an FTP server that allows others (without accounts) to view the directory and download the files would work too.
