Many of the missing illustrations are probably ones that we are redoing (because of various problems with the originals); I will upload the replacement illustrations when they are ready.
No problem. :-) I tried to catch them all and turn them into Image: links so most of the "missing" illustrations should be easy to spot. I expect I missed a few in the process.
The exception is the chapter on Math, which includes lots of "illustrations" that are actually formulas created by Math even though the wiki conversion called them .png images. Many of these can be reproduced as formulas on the wiki after the appropriate upgrade of the wiki software has been completed. Otherwise, I don't know how to handle them.
The Wiki engine update is still in the works. Changes I would expect to see would include enabling the wiki math feature, and being able to shorten the Wiki page names (to hide the subpage path). This should go a long way to making the docs look a lot nicer.
On the TOC thing... I have marked the old TOC info page as deprecated. The new TOC style will be documented - probably in (or linked from) the Wiki Editing Policy page: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Dashboard/Wiki_Editing_Policy As we get to them, the various docs and HowTos should/can be migrated from the old TOC style to the new one. No rush... just as we get to them. I will be working on some of them (as I can) over the next couple of weeks.
