I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving break!
I would like to introduce myself as a new contributor to The
OpenOffice.orgDocumentation Project. I am an aspiring technical
writer with no prior work experience, who possesses strong writing
and editing skills. I have taken technical communication courses at
San Jose State University where I studied Computer Engineering, and
worked as a writing tutor. I am interested in using my skills at
OpenOffice.org by starting off as a document editor and reviewer.
That sounds fabulous.
I look forward to making meaningful contributions to OpenOffice.org.

The FAQs would be a good place to start.
Most of those need some sort of stylistic check or content update.
