Hi Ufi, all,

Will this issue http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=6087
about ODFF implementation and changes in Calc be documented in 3.1.
It's about the allowed characters in sheet names.

Ufi, you made this proposal on the issue, did you get an answer?
------------
Sheet names can contain almost any printable character.
If you use the sheet name in a reference and the sheet name contains a
character
that is not a letter or numeral, you must enclose the sheet name in
single quotes.
If the sheet name in a reference contains a single quote, you must type two
consecutive single quotes in the reference.
Note: To allow smooth export to Excel format, the following characters
are not
allowed in sheet names: \ / ? * [ ]
-----------------------

Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Sophie

sure this is documented in the OOo 3.1 help, in the "renaming sheets" help file, in CWS hcshared19. I've got an answer in the issue 6087, and there was an additional mail: http://sc.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=features&msgNo=272
