The biggest disappointment to me has been the lack of people to finish
writing the Calc Guide. We got about 2/3 of it done before the main
contributors quit (at least one of them was quite ill, so quitting is
very understandable). Of course, the more difficult parts of the book
are the ones still unwritten!
Various people have come along since then, offering to write or revise
chapters, and then gone away again (one or more of them became quite ill
also). We haven't heard from some of the others for months.
I think a lot of this could be done by seeking out and combining
existing information (with the permission of the original author, of
course), but someone has to find the time to do it.
