IMHO it makes no sense *at* *this* moment to change the code quoted at the
Wiki nor to add links to the full source code of the examples. The code must
be first fixed where it's wrong, reformated where it's ugly, remove unused
imports, update the license, etc. etc. And it should be discussed the better
way to link to the respective source from the code quoted on the Dev's Guide
(I guess we all agree that there *must* be some kind of link to the full
example).
From the following options:
a) the current svn /odk/examples [unmantained, some with issues]
b) the cvs repo with the NB projects [yet unfinished]
c) a Wiki page for every example, redirecting to source code in different
languages/projects [does not exist yet]
(a) and (b) are IMHO not good, because they are hard to maintain: if the
source code location is changed, or the file removed, one will have to search
every place where it's quoted, and fixe this. So the Wiki page aproach sounds
as the best alterantive here.
Also note that the approach of a Wiki page redirecting to the same example in
different languages/projects also fixes the usual critique that the examples
are
only in Java: every one on the community is welcome to contribute their
Python/OOo Basic/C++/etc.... version.
