Hi all, I have created a JIRA DRILL-4714 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-4714> and attached a doc explaining the new proposed APIs. These APIs are for providing faster metadata request response and moving the prepared statement implementation to server so that we can add optimizations in server without disrupting the clients.
