This area is very complex. I wonder, is there a way to add a comment that summarizes the issue so future readers can figure out what's what? It seems we have a number of issues around DICT. The type is a fine idea by itself. The complexity is to force-fit it into Drill and SQL which were not designed to support this type. We'll leave those issues for another time.
