Regarding the UDF tests: the test folder doesn't contain any tests so there is no difference what category to use. I searched in git history and it was always empty, not even in a separate branch. There is only this PR: https://github.com/mapr/drill-test-framework/pull/249, but the tests there are very cluster-specific and require drill restarts during the execution.
