It seems you did this work on top of the master with my unsquashed commits. When you try to push, those commits come along for the ride. I think you should grab the latest master, then rebase your branch on it. Plan B is to a) grab the latest master, and b) create a new branch that cherry-picks the commit(s) you meant to add.
