bob mcwhirter commented on DROOLS-429:
--------------------------------------

Yah, we're all a little bemused as to why the JCA stuff was removed, and
getting it back in is a priority.

The durational rules and their TimerTask has long been a point of contention,
and knowing that we could perhaps jostle threading stuff to the JCA end of
things is also a good thing to know. But we need to also make sure it all will
work in a non-managed POJO environment w/o having to fire up Jencks or another
JCA container.

Though, we will also probably provide some MBeans (optionally) for the JMX
fanatics.

> I've noticed that there is currently not JCA wrapper for the jsr94
> implementation. At least I didn't find any sources for the
> org.drools.jsr94.jca package, although I found a resource adapter
> configuration file referencing this package.
> The descriptor contained within the src/etc directory of the jsr94 module is
> not valid according to the JCA spec. I attached a corrected version.
> It would be nice to have a JCA adapter and I would also like to vote for jira
> report DROOLS-423 - support for decision table import in JSR94.
