Rainer Döbele created EMPIREDB-293:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Allow driver to distinguish between DATETIME and TIMESTAMP
                 Key: EMPIREDB-293
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/EMPIREDB-293
             Project: Empire-DB
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Rainer Döbele
            Assignee: Rainer Döbele

So far, empire-db only provided a DATETIME data type, wich was intended for
timestamps. However a timestamp must have a millisecond resultion at minimum
and this has not always been clear. By introducing a new data type TIMESTAMP
the Driver can now distinguish between the two, although, by default they
should be treated the same.
