As noted in SLING-2051 there are situations where a deadlock on shutdown occurs
- this is because the thread pool is waiting for shutdown and blocks the
framework
The pool can't be properly shutdown as event handlers might be already down
(this is an unfortunate but expected behaviour)
The pool shut not wait for shutdown
