Richard S. Hall commented on FELIX-3085:
----------------------------------------
The Felix framework does not support exporting/importing the default package.
First, it is a non-spec feature. Second, it is completely meaningless in OSGi,
since by its very nature the default package is a split package and OSGi does
not support exporting/importing the default package. There is no way to verify
whether you have the correct provider, nor the resulting consistency.

> In the Equinox implementation of OSGi, importing and exporting the default
> package (".") is allowed, whereas it fails to produce the expected results
> under Apache Felix.
