Indeed the simple answer is to set MAVEN_OPTS to something like "-Xms512m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=512M" > settings. Wondering though if this is needed, maybe our build settings could > include it? You might try to tell the compiler plugin to fork. That will probably save a lot of mess in the permgen of the main process.
