Yep, as I said, it is certainly do-able. The only downside is there is no
cross-bundle solution for this. So, I'm not arguing against it in Preferences,
just pointing out you run the risk of swimming against the tide if you use the
OSGi framework in a way that it wasn't intended.
Regarding your "update" issue with Pax Runner...if they really only support
clean cache provisioning, I'd recommend looking into a different solution.
