Justin Edelson commented on FELIX-4606: --------------------------------------- This information would be incorrect. It would be a valid to say that in order for a Declarative Services descriptor to be interpreted when the containing bundle is deployed, an implementation of the Declarative Services must also be deployed (although this is a bit of a tautology - for DS to work, DS must work) and Felix SCR is an example of such an implementation. But there's nothing about the Maven SCR Plugin which requires Felix SCR specificially. > Add org.apache.felix.scr.jar as a bundle > ---------------------------------------- > > Key: FELIX-4606 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-4606 > Project: Felix > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Documentation > Affects Versions: scr-1.6.4, maven-bundle-plugin-2.5.0 > Reporter: Eemeli Palotie > Labels: easyfix, newbie > Original Estimate: 20m > Remaining Estimate: 20m > > To maven SCR plugin use documentation > (http://felix.apache.org/documentation/subprojects/apache-felix-maven-scr-plugin/apache-felix-maven-scr-plugin-use.html) > add a note where it says that "org.apache.felix.scr.jar" should be added as > a bundle to the felix runtime. > This will clarify the configuration and help to get the first example running > faster. I ended up wasting some hours figuring it out. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2#6252)
