Hi everyone,

... we received some feedback that some community members have issues
properly upgrading (especially database migrations) to version 1.6.0. The
last feedback we got was that one Flyway migration file
"V392__interest_recovery_conf_for_rescedule.sql" was missing and the
database migration left the database in an undefined state.

We've investigated that situation and as far as we can tell this problem is
"only" related to the downloadable distribution artifacts on
https://fineract.apache.org. If you use Git and checkout tag "1.6.0" or you
use the Github release page to download you should not have this issue.

In short: we'll fix the downloadable distribution as soon as possible. In
the meantime please use the other options to get that release (Github
release page download or Git checkout tag 1.6.0).

The reason why this issue was introduced was a mistake during the
release process for 1.6.0 (wrong tag type) that was fixed, but apparently I
dropped the ball and didn't rebuild the downloadable distribution. BTW: we
shouldn't run into this problem anymore in future releases, because we have
a semi-automatic release plugin for Fineract now. FYI

Thanks for reporting this issue and sorry for the inconvenience. 1.6.0 is
an important release (on your path to 1.7.0 and beyond), if you have any
other difficulties then please let us know.

As soon as the downloads are fixed I'll let you know here.

Cheers,

Aleks
