Hello everyone, My name is Monica, and I’m a Java developer currently in my second year of college. I recently subscribed to this mailing list and wanted to introduce myself. I have a strong foundation in Java, basic Python, and I am also pursuing Finance as my minor, which makes financial systems and digital banking technologies especially interesting to me. This combination of technical and financial knowledge is what drew me toward Fineract. I am currently exploring the codebase, going through the documentation, and understanding the architecture so I can start making meaningful contributions. I plan to begin with beginner-friendly issues such as bug fixes, refactoring, improving test coverage, and small feature enhancements. Any guidance on the best areas to start with would be greatly appreciated. I am also planning to apply for GSoC 2026 if Apache Fineract participates, but my primary aim right now is to learn, contribute consistently, and become a valuable part of the community.
