Dear David Higgins and the Fineract Mentors,

My name is Noel, and I am a backend-heavy engineer writing to formally
express my interest in the "Event Driven Architecture for Standalone
Modules" project for Google Summer of Code 2026.

I recently introduced myself on Slack, but I wanted to provide a more
structured overview of why I am excited about this specific project.
My background is primarily in Java and Spring Boot, and I have
hands-on experience working with Apache Kafka and Avro schemas for
message serialization in microservices environments.

Why I am a good fit for this project:

EDA Experience: I understand the challenges of decoupling monolithic
systems and have implemented the Outbox Pattern in previous
personal/professional projects.

Tech Stack: I am very comfortable with the Fineract core stack
(Spring, JPA, Gradle) and have already successfully built the project
locally.

Commitment: I am eager to contribute to the mission of financial
inclusion through open-source software and plan to be highly active in
the community.

I am currently analyzing the infrastructure/event package in the
Fineract repository to understand the current event flow. I would
appreciate any guidance on specific areas where the community feels
the transition to a pluggable event-driven system is most urgent.

I have attached my GitHub profile below for your reference. Thank you
for your time and for the opportunity to contribute to Apache
Fineract.

Best regards,
