Hi,

Thanks for reaching out — and it’s great to see that you have identified
something that intrigues you.

In the meantime, here’s how you can get started and plug into the right
channels:

1. Join the GSoC Matrix Room
We’re moving Apache Fineract GSoC 2026 discussions to Matrix.
You can join here:
https://matrix.to/#/#apache-fineract-gsoc:matrix.org

Please introduce yourself there and mention your interest.

2. Fill Out the Contributor Interest Form (Important)
To help us structure mentorship properly and understand everyone’s level of
interest and commitment, please complete this form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSexeaNi-2RZL3wUsQM8KzhjtDl0hiEj00_gcTiL49g3wEI42A/viewform?usp=publish-editor

3. Read the Official GSoC Documentation Page
This will give you context on how Fineract structures its GSoC program:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FINERACT/GSOC+Program+at+Fineract

4. Review the GSoC 2026 Tickets
Here are the tickets currently labeled for GSoC 2026:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2454?jql=project%20%3D%20%22Apache%20Fineract%22%20AND%20labels%20%3D%20gsoc2026%20ORDER%20BY%20createdDate%20

You can comment on the relevant ticket expressing your interest and briefly
summarizing your proposed approach.

Once mentors are formally announced, they’ll engage more directly on the
tickets and Matrix. For now, the best thing you can do is:

Join Matrix

Introduce yourself

Review the ticket deeply

Start asking clarifying questions publicly

Setup Fineract on your local development environment

Looking forward to your introduction on Matrix.

Best regards,
