Hi Apache Fineract community, My name is Sujan Kumar MV. I'm a Backend Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Hyderabad, where I design and build production-grade Java/Spring Boot microservices for banking and financial systems — which is exactly what Apache Fineract does at its core.
I'm writing to introduce myself as a GSoC 2026 contributor candidate, specifically interested in: - FINERACT-2442: Loan Origination POC - FINERACT-2439: Create a new backend for frontend component POC Why I'm a strong fit: At TCS I build REST APIs, design microservice architectures, work with MySQL databases, and deploy on Docker/Azure — the exact stack Fineract uses. I also have a banking-system repository on GitHub that demonstrates JWT auth, loan management, and account services built with Spring Boot 3 and Spring Cloud. Beyond engineering, I'm also a published researcher with work accepted in Nature Portfolio (Scientific Reports, Q1), Springer, and IET — demonstrating I can deliver complex technical work end-to-end. I have already: - Joined the Fineract GSoC Matrix channel - Begun setting up the project locally - Submitted the contributor interest form I would love any guidance on where to make my first contribution and how to best prepare my proposal.
