Magpie is a collection of AI skills. The Markdown files *are* the skills: Additional instructions/context to use while working with AI agents. You could use them with antigravity, cline, opencode, claude, whatever. I've only tried my WIP Magpie commits with claude so far.
There's no hosted Magpie service, unlike CodeRabbit. I like the idea of a central repo for related AI skills useful for Apache maintainers but--as you've found--Magpie skills are verbose and hard to follow. Created by AI and only maintainable by AI. I've found lots of utility from one-shot AI queries or short conversations, but I've not had much luck with more complex interactions involving multiple simultaneous skills/actions/tools. Even with good models working hard. It's a skill I need to develop so I'm sharing my experience so far and looking for help. Magpie development is ongoing and it is improving. I think we'll want to use it eventually and/or come up with our own Fineract skills.
