Hi all, I'm Sarthak, a backend software engineer based in Pune, India. I currently work as a Product Engineer at EdgeVerve Systems on the Finacle core banking platform (mostly C/C++, low-level), and before that worked as a Java backend developer intern building Spring Boot microservices (REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Redis, JWT auth).
I'm looking to get more hands-on with Spring Boot and contribute to a real open-source core banking codebase, and Fineract felt like a natural fit given my background. I've already cloned the repo and have a local build running successfully. I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me toward a good first issue to start with — ideally something in the Java/Spring Boot layer where I can get oriented with the codebase and contribution process.
