Aditya Hendre commented on FINERACT-81:
---------------------------------------

Hi,

I am Aditya Hendre, an MSc (Computer Science) student at Chennai Mathematical
Institute, Chennai, India. I am interested in working on integrating UPI
support into Fineract as part of the GSOC 2016 exercise. I know Java well and I
have experience programming in it. My BSc (CS) project was learning Java and
creating a collaborative painting application from scratch in Java. It involved
writing multi-threading, networking, Java reflection, and GUI code. It is
hosted on my Github https://github.com/meta-coder/RemoteDraw. I am quick
learner, passionate about writing robust, modular, reusable code.

Where can I find the API specification which the Java SDK should provide for
wrapping messages and mapping data?

What exactly is involved in "integration into transaction API"?

I have subscribed to [email protected] mailing list. It
would be helpful if I am shown where to begin; meanwhile I am exploring the
Fineract source code, Platform Software Architecture Document, Platform API
documentation and the UPI documents.

Regards,
Aditya Hendre

> The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) [http://www.npci.org.in/]
> proposed an Unified Payments Interface and release an API and technical
> specification for implentors. All needded documentation can be found at
> http://www.npci.org.in/UPI_Documents.aspx.
> To allow a better integration into India's financial landscape we need to
> integrate UPI as a possible connector to our platform. The solution is
> twofold:
> 1. A simple Java SDK to wrap needed message and data mapping
> 2. Integration into the transaction API
