Hi [~george.haj...@outlook.com], I don't think it is related to increasing
number of repayments. I reproduced the same scenario here,
https://demo.openmf.org/#/viewloanaccount/542 and I successfully closed the
loan account #000000542 for the same client. You can try the same with same
client Joseph Mobutu in this link.

This account is yet to approve and you can modify application by increasing
number of repayments (also loan term) and try to prepay loan. You can do it
successfully.
The problem with the account cng(#000000539) you mentioned is related to
charges(instalment fee) but not 'Modifying Application' before approval.
