Justin Mclean resolved FLEX-22943.
----------------------------------
Resolution: Not A Problem
It's intended to work this way and only remove the filtered items.
> ArrayCollection.removeAll does not remove all if an arrayCollections contains
> filtered items
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

> Key: FLEX-22943
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLEX-22943
> Project: Apache Flex
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Collections
> Affects Versions: Adobe Flex SDK 3.2 (Release)
> Environment: Affected OS(s): All OS Platforms
> Affected OS(s): All OS Platforms
> Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x
> Language Found: English
> Reporter: Adobe JIRA
> Labels: easyfix, easytest
>
> Steps to reproduce:
> 1. Run the attached application file
> 2. Click the 'filter the letter a' checkbox
> 3. Click the Remove All button
> 4. Click the 'filter the letter a' checkbox
>
> Actual Results:
> The letter "a" reappears in the list
>
> Expected Results:
> An empty list
>
> Workaround (if any):
> The work around appears in the reset method. Basically you have to set the
> ArrayCollection.source to an empty array to really remove all the items. If
> your class was the only object using the list you could remove the filter
> function first then call removeAll, however this solution wont work if you
> are handed a potentially filtered collection from somewhere else.
