The code for CompilerAPI.java:1730 implies that you have a services-config.xml 
file but no channel-definition tags in it (and make sure they aren't all 
commented out either).  It could also be that something else is wrong with the 
match up of the class specified in the channel-definition and what classes are 
available in the SWCs.
