awesome news. New contributors are always very welcome. I saw recently that
you've recently looked into different starter issues, but you were a bit
out of luck because others were already working on them.

I saw your request on the "Rework examples" issue. I'll respond to it soon.

I think an interesting field for new contributors are connectors to other
systems.
For example the elastic search connector is lacking a source. There were
also requests for a connector to Cassandra.

But it also depends on what you are interested in. If you have a lot of
experience with a certain field or system, you can maybe bring that
knowledge to the Flink community.
