The test case
{{TaskCancelAsyncProducerConsumerITCase.testCancelAsyncProducerAndConsumer}}
sometimes fails with a {{NullPointerException}} [1]. The reason is that
contains a race condition between a check and the initialization logic of a
{{Thread}}.
