Currently, we always return a full stack trace whenever an operation has
failed. This has _some_ merit in cases where we don't _really_ know the
underlying cause and have to provide as much information as possible.
In certain error cases however the REST API returns an exception without a
backing cause, when it can provide all the information required by the user to
resolve the issue. In these cases the stack trace is ultimately just noise that
we could exclude from the response.
