We recently discussed test assertion on the ML
(https://lists.apache.org/thread/33t7hz8w873p1bc5msppk65792z08rgt), and came to
the conclusion to
a) update the code style guide to explicitly mention the currently favored
style of assertions for consistency
b) use AssertJ for new tests.
