Hi Qingsheng, After some testing I’ve noticed that current default schema evolve behavior “EVOLVE”. In such configuration, jobs that crashed without successfully persisted schema might not be able to restore. FLINK-36128[1] suggests using “LENIENT” mode as default, which evolves schema by keeping original schema compatibility. Could you please make an assessment about if this should be added into 3.2 blockers list?
