Hello everyone, On behalf of the PMC, I'm happy to let you know that Hongshun has become a new Flink Committer!
Hongshun has been a core contributor and maintainer of Flink CDC since joining the community in 2023. He initiated and drove forward 3 FLIPs (FLIP-288, FLIP-389, FLIP-537) to enhance connector design and behavior, he has authored 100+ PRs to Flink/Flink CDC/Kafka Connector repos, and reviewed over 70 PRs. With more than 95 commits, his technical impact includes refactoring all incremental sources, enabling key features like skip backfill, snapshot mode, non-blocking stream reads for newly-added tables. He also contributed the Apache Fluss sink connector and led major improvements in PostgreSQL CDC source connector. Beyond code, he actively supports the community through 132+ discussions on dev mailing list and answering user questions on both English and Chinese user mailing list. His deep technical expertise and consistent engagement make him a cornerstone of the Flink CDC ecosystem. Please join me in congratulating Hongshun for becoming an Apache Flink committer!
