Hello everyone,

On behalf of the PMC, I'm happy to let you know that Peter Huang has accepted
the invitation to become a Flink Committer.

Peter's contributions to the Flink ecosystem date back to 2019, spanning
multiple technical areas:

Flink Lineage (FLIP-314): Core architect of Flink's native lineage support, one
of the flagship features shipping in Flink 2.0. He designed the Lineage
Provider API, JobStatusChangedListener interface, and lineage extraction for
both Table API and DataStream API, and drove lineage integrations across JDBC,
Kafka, Cassandra, and Hybrid Source connectors. He has accumulated 40+ commits
across the Flink core repository and multiple connector repositories, spanning
Runtime, Table API, Formats, Connectors, and Docs.
Cross-community integration: Led the redesign of Hudi Flink Source V2 (split
enumeration, predicate pushdown, CDC read, streaming metrics) with 40+ commits
to Apache Hudi, and drove native Flink support in OpenLineage with 20+ commits,
where he also serves as a Committer.
Runtime improvements: Contributed ResourceManager failure rate metrics, file
descriptor JVM metrics, scheduler rescale metrics, upstream connection retry
mechanisms, and foundational Catalog Function DDL support.

Beyond code, Peter has been an active community voice — presenting at Flink
Forward Global 2021, sharing production insights in the Apache Hudi Year in
Review, and promoting Flink adoption across both Apple and Uber.

Please join me in congratulating Peter for becoming an Apache Flink committer!

Best,
Leonard (on behalf of the Flink PMC)
