this is a deprecated method that we are using now that the HTTP connector has
been moved build against flink version 2.2. I am aware that there are a number
of getindata PRs in this space to add proper error and retry processing for
sinks - this should be fixed as part of that suite of work. In the mean time I
am raising this Jira to track this issue so it is not lost.
