Hi all,

During last week's Community over Code conference in Glasgow, organized by
the ASF, one of the tracks was about the new Apache Trusted Releases [1]
tooling. I can't find a new public source except where they announced a
second Alpha [2], but during the conference they said that it's ready to be
used.

I'd like to volunteer to try this new process with a new release of the
Flink-Kafka connector, which is overdue for a new release. Going through
this process would allow me to document the things on our Wiki on how this
would work for Flink.
The ASF is ultimately building towards automated releases, and I'd like the
Flink community to also release more frequently. I think this is a missing
piece for us to get started with.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Best regards,

Martijn
