Anyways, if I get pinged on a ticket or PR, I do my best to prioritize those. I'll take a look at FLUME-2894 asap. (Which one is the second you'd like? I think you've mentioned FLUME-2894 twice.) On the activity: afaik, Flume should (still) be ready for use in production and it's included with CDH ( http://www.cloudera.com/products/apache-hadoop/key-cdh-components.html ) and HDP ( http://hortonworks.com/products/data-center/hdp/ ).
