Yes, there is a slack channel but I believe it requires an ASF user id. It is 
the-asf.slack.com. The channel is “flume”. But just as this mailing list there 
is very little traffic there. FWIW, I hope to look at your PRs today (It is 
currently about 8:30am in Arizona).
