David Crossley commented on FOR-908:
------------------------------------

Thanks. I did a "quick" review of the licensing situation. Perhaps some other
Forrest committers can comment too.

Ross, on the user mailing list you wondered whether we can include the DocBook
XSL. Its license does permit us to. We already include some DocBook DTDs. What
has prevented us in the past is the size of the XSL. We can expect people to
have the XSL on their system as a pre-requisite. Another option that we
discussed in the past was to develop a download mechanism for such resources.

Nigel, the other issues are the parts that you developed:

The sitemaps and some stylesheets are fine, an obvious extension of what the
Forrest default plugin template provides. We would update the license headers
to the new ASF header.

There are some other stylesheets article*.xsl that have been generated. I am
not clear about the situation with those. Would you please explain their origin.

The minutes.dtd is your DocBook customisation. Does this and the minutes*.xsl
need to be included? They seem to be a different purpose to this plugin.

What is lib/xfc.jar ?

I gather that everything under src/documentation/content/rep is your example
data which would not be added to Forrest. Whoever develops this plugin would
create a separate basic example.

> Following the discusion on [email protected] "Re: Example of DocBook

> helped me build through answering specific technical questions.
