Une demande de test de HSQLDB par Frank Schonheit, je vous en fais la traduction rapide :
Comme vous le savez probablement, OOo a comme moteur de base de donn�es HSQLDB. Si vous souhaitez participer � l'am�lioration de cette int�gration, merci de lire ce qui suit.
La derni�re version stable de HSQLDB est 1.7.3.3, la version actuellement livr�e avec les snapshots de OOo [1] est la version 1.8.0 RC9, plus quelques modifications.
Hier la version HSQLDB 1.8.0 RC10 a �t� livr�e qui devrait �tre la release candidate finale d'HSQLDB avant de d�clarer la version 1.8.0 stable et avant d'int�grer finalement la version 1.8.0 dans OOo 2.0.
RC10 a subit quelques changements en comparaison de la RC9. M�me si les teams HSQLDB et OOo testent cette version activement, il y a toujours la potentialit� de probl�mes non d�couverts.
Ce que nous aimerions vous demander, c'est que vous testiez cette derni�re version de HSQLDB [2] la mettiez dans votre derni�re installation de OOo [3] et fassiez tous les tests que vous puissiez imaginer (ou simplement travailler un peu avec comme vous le feriez normalement).
Si vous trouvez un quelconque probleme avec la RC10, merci de nous en faire part directement sur [EMAIL PROTECTED] [note de sophie : [EMAIL PROTECTED] pour les francophones] au lieu de soumettre un bug et les deux teams commenceront � travailler dessus.
Il y a actuellement une issue connue : la boite de dialogue "Enregistrer" dans la fen�tre de cr�ation de la table montre une boite de liste "Schema". C'est parce que HSQLDB supporte maintenant les 'schemas' [note de Sophie : je ne sais pas l'�quivalent en fran�ais]. OOo pour le moment ne supporte pas cette fonctionnalit� dans son interface utilisateur, mais le cr�ateur de table le conna�t d�ja :)
Comme cons�quence, si vous touchez aux schemas manuellement (par exemple en envoyant l'instruction "CREATE SCHEMA..." � travers Outils/SQL, et ensuite cr�ez de nouvelles tables dans ce schema) cela peut entrainer divers r�sultats non souhait�s, aussi nous vous d�conseillons de le faire pour le moment.

as you probably know, OpenOffice.org ships with HSQLDB as its database engine. If you're interested in helping to make this integration even better, please read on!
The latest stable version of HSQLDB is 1.7.3.3, the version currently shipped with the developer snapshots of OOo [1] is 1.8.0 RC9, plus some modifications.
Yesterday, HSQLDB 1.8.0 RC10 was released, which should be the final release candidate of HSQLB before declaring 1.8.0 as stable, and before finally including 1.8.0 in OOo 2.0.
RC10 saw quite some changes compared to RC9. Though the HSQLDB and the OOo team stressed this new version a lot, there's still the potential of some undiscovered problems.
What we'd like to ask you is to download this latest HSQLDB version [2], put in into your latest OOo installation [3], and do any tests you can imagine (or simply work with it a little, as you would normally do).
If you find any problems with RC10, please report them in [email protected] instead of submitting a new issue, and both teams will start to address them.
There is one known issue currently: The "Save" dialog in the table design windows shows a "Schema" list box. This is because HSQLDB now supports schemas. OOo is currently not expected to support this feature in the UI, but the table design doesn't know, yet :).
An implication of this is that if you manually tamper with schemas (for instance by sending a "CREATE SCHEMA ..." statement via Tools|SQL, and then creating new tables in this schema), this might yield various unwanted results, so doing so is discouraged at the moment.
