I noticed the bit about attracting contributors is still in there. It might be interesting to discuss that, but honestly after 20 years in community driven open source I don't know good ways to go about that. Things that worked well 15 years ago don't work any more, and some things that worked a decade ago also don't... and that is around when it seemed there was a big shift in less community open source activity, along with an increase in activity in projects that got more corporate attention.
