FWIW, we (Apache Maven) migrated all JIRA issues to github.
On Shiro we just stopped using Jira and started using github issues
without migration (so far).
Would you be interested in switching to GH issues as well?

Obviously, I was quite absent during the last 1 year or so. Apart from
doing the bare minimum, like this. I'm aware that putting together enough
changes to warrant a release is way overdue at this point, so... will have
to put some energy into that.
