Hello everbody,
FSVS 1.1.9 is released.
This release has a few new features in it:
- New option "colordiff" for automatically piping output to the
external program "colordiff"
- New option "dir-sort" for "status" action (sorts output by filename,
but needs a second pass through the in-memory-tree)
- New option "status-coloring"; off per default.
- Per working-copy options can now be set in $WAA_CONF/*/config.
- En/decoded entries (see fsvs:commit-pipe) now send the property
"fsvs:original-md5", to know (after sync-repos) which data would
be current.
- Included a test for Master/Local operation - I'll write some howto
when I find time.
- "commit_to" option for multi-url operation
- diff now prints the "Only in local filesystem" messages only
with -v, and ignored files are ignored :-).
But the major focus seem to be bugfixes:
- The mtime for directories was not restored on uptime.
- "sync-repos"
- If entries had no meta-data-properties set in the repository
we take the local values, if they exist. (Stops entries from
being printed as changed, although no different information
is in the repository)
- Printed the root directory twice.
- "fsvs log" had an endless loop, if the log message ended in a
character >= \x80.
- Newly added files would on their first commit be sent as an empty
file; subsequent commits were ok. Thank you, Ben.
(Probably because the test had "touch"ed files, with 0 bytes length ;-/)
- "revert". That's been a bit of a hog.
- Memory leak fixed (I hope)
- Missing intermediate directories caused fsvs to stop
- Meta-data was not correctly applied.
Fixed full recursive reverts of whole trees.

For the next release I plan to have initial support for automatic
move/copy detection ... although that could still change, if some other
things come up.
I hope that it'll make it to Sep 27th, which would be FSVS' second
(public) birthday -- but I fear it won't. Ah, well.
Please send your bug reports, ideas, suggestions and other feedback (even
if it's only about spelling mistakes in the documentation!) to
the mailing lists.
Regards,
Phil
