Part of the Geode and ASF release process is identify a Release Manager to collect the changes, prepare a release candidate, and publish the release binaries. The good news is, we have a well-vetted set of scripts and instructions [1] to automate this and make it super easy for first timers to go through the process. Anyone want to volunteer? We would like to start this process next week (Sept 6).
